Academics
The brothers of Beta Theta Pi have a passionate dedication to the cultivation of the intellect. The reason we are students at John Carroll University is to gain a great education in order to prepare us to lead and serve in our region and in our world. Betas work hard in the classroom and are able to successfully balance their academic course load with the other aspects of university life, including sports, extracurricular activities, jobs and internships, and social life. You can regularly find our brothers in Grasselli Library or study areas of the Dolan Center. Many of them also partner up on projects or study together when they share a common course.
Beta Theta Pi currently holds the top academic ranking among all fraternities on campus with a cumulative 3.29 GPA. Since its inception as a colony, Beta has also earned top honors every semester for its average semester GPA. The following are statistics as of Fall 2009:
Beta Theta Pi Average: 3.29
All-Fraternity Average: 3.11
All-Male Average: 2.90
All-Campus Averge: 3.02
